002 Pleased as Punch

A girl in the church in Stornway wants you to egg her on with an air punch.

Location: Stornway, in the town church
Prerequisites: None
Requisite for: 003 We Like to Party
Reward: "Pirouette" party trick

  • Completed: After you egged on Ricki in Stornway with an air punch, she taught you the 'Pirouette' party trick. You can assign your party tricks from the Misc. menu, and perform them by holding down the B Button and using the +Control Pad.

Quest dialogue:

  • Och, just look at me! I've come all the way to church, but I just can't seem to get fired up enough to have a really good pray!
  • I don't suppose you could spur me on with a nice air punch, could you?
    • Accept: (skip ahead)
    • Decline: Oh. That's a shame. I was going to teach you all about how to use party tricks and everything. (done)
  • Brilliant. My name's Ricky, by the way.

Repeat dialogue:

  • So, are you ready to show me a prime air punch?
  • If you go to 'Assign Party Tricks' in the Misc. menu, you can assign party tricks to each of the directions on the +Control Pad.
  • Assign the air punch to a direction, and then press the +Control Pad in that direction while holding down the B Button.

Once you've performed an air punch:

  • Aye, that's the stuff! That's the kind of air punch that could really get a person fired up for a good old pray!
  • Thanks ever so much. Och, but how can I repay you…? Oh, I know. Here, I'll teach you a jazzy new move…
  • Grus learns a new party trick. Now he can pirouette!
  • Ach, but it's no good. I'm still not quite fired up enough to get down on my knees and give the old prayin' a really good go…
  • (CLEAR!!)

Once you've completed the quest:

  • You can assign party tricks from the Misc. menu. To use one, hold down the B Button and press a direction on the +Control Pad.
  • I'm still not quite fired up enough for a really good pray. You couldn't come back and egg me on again sometime, could you?
