The ghost in the Quarantomb has lost his memory, and needs your help. If you can steal back the important possession he lost from whoever took it, his memory might return, and there'll be a reward for you too.
Prerequisites: Beat the game, DLC downloaded, Quest #141: Coffinwell Conundrum completed.
Repeatable? No.
- Head to the Quarantomb, which is found northwest of Coffinwell, and go downstairs to the basement and speak to the ghostly king there to receive the quest. He wants you to steal an item back from the Trauminator that will help him get his memory back.
- Trauminator is a grotto boss that can be encountered in low to mid-level treasure maps ending with a suffix of Doubt, Woe, Dolour, Regret, Bane, or Fear. A grotto calculator can let you know if you have a treasure map with Trauminator as a boss.
- If you don't have the right treasure map yet, you will have to complete some grottoes first to find one. The first treasure map you'll receive in the game is the Granite Tunnel of Woe Lv. 1 from completing Quest #15: Collapsus's Call.
- Another option is to have another player exchange the right map with you through Tag Mode if you have access to multiplayer.
- Once you have a treasure map with Trauminator as the boss, make sure you have at least one party member able to use Half-Inch, which is learned by investing 10 skill points into the Thief's Acquisitiveness skill. For this quest, it is recommended to have your entire party able to steal to make it easier.
- Trauminator has around 4,000 HP, acts twice per turn, and is very weak to Lightning-elemental attacks. It has access to some powerful attacks like firing a volley of arrows and Gigaslash. Have everyone steal each turn until you receive the Royal seal, then defeat the boss normally.
- Leave the grotto after defeating the boss and return to the Quarantomb. Go down to the basement again and return the royal seal to the ghostly king to complete the quest.
