141 Coffinwell Conundrum
Dr Phlegming needs your help to decipher an old manuscript detailing historical links between Coffinwell and the Gittish Empire. He wants you to try and find a book on the Gittish Empire for him.
Prerequisites: Beat the game, DLC downloaded, Quest #46: Puttin' 'Em in Platinum completed.
Repeatable? No.
- Head to Coffinwell at nighttime and speak to Dr Phlegming in his study, located in the northwest part of town along the walls. If you visit the mayor's residence during the day, you can find the doctor in the dining hall and he'll ask you to come by at night.
- He wants you to find a book that details the relationship between Coffinwell and the Gittish Empire.
- In order to find it, you will have to visit the Oubliette and search the bookshelves there. Zoom to Gittingham Palace to reach it. If you don't remember how to get there, take the right path from the palace's entrance and exit to the courtyard in the center. From there, enter from the west entrance of the central building and go all the way around the north to the stairs leading up. There is a healing spring on the way if you need to heal.
- On the second floor, walk through the electrified tiles to the stairs leading down to enter the Oubliette. From there, pass through the prison cells and the poisonous floor to another set of stairs leading down. The next set of stairs down is found in the southwest. On B3, you will find a laboratory with several bookshelves lining the wall. Examine the bookshelf all the way on the right to find the 'Encyclopaedia Gittanica'. Exit the dungeon and make your way back to Dr Phlegming's study in Coffinwell.
You found the Encyclopaedia Gittanica on a bookshelf in Gittingham Palace. Now all you need to do is take it to him.
- Like before, you will only be able to find the doctor in his study at nighttime. Speak to him to complete the quest.
