128 P-P-Pick Up a Pickaxe
Hamish, the man down the well in Stornway Castle, wants you to bring him a legendary item called a platinum pick. He's trying to dig his way to a room he can see through a gap in the wall.
Prerequisites: Beat the game, DLC downloaded, 007 Curious Crevice completed.
Repeatable?: No.
- Go down the well located in Stornway Castle's outer courtyard, which can be reached by going to the northeastern part of the castle. Speak to Hamish, the thug in front of the crevice, to start the quest.
- He wants you to bring him a platinum pick which can be dropped by a darkonium slime.
- Darkonium slimes can only be encountered in Rank 7-9 Ruins grottoes or Rank 9 ice grottoes, which are at least Lv. 50. Ruins are among the most common type of treasure map received. A grotto calculator can help you determine if you have the right type.
- The slimes look like dark red jewels with silver crowns on their heads. They have 420 HP, are immune to attack magic and status effects, and can attack the party with their beam blasts or squishing them, making them difficult opponents to fight if you are unprepared.
- After defeating one, it should drop the platinum pick. Leave the grotto and head back to Hamish in Stornway Castle's well to complete the quest.
